If you breathe fashion, you’ll know who Gareth Pugh is and if you don’t, well, Google him up. Outrageous top fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has given him major props on his work, so expect big things from the name. Pugh (pronounced ‘pyooh’) graced KL after making his stop in Singapore for the Audi Fashion Festival with DJ friend Matthew Stone. Both of the UK acts with wicked fashion sense were the talk of the town for almost 2 weeks, especially on Twitter.

Last Saturday was straight-up fashionista night at Zouk. As always, the queue outside of Zouk was buzzing with the long queue(s). Everyone was dressed to impress, standing around outside the club waiting on the superstars’ arrival. As expected, they were fashionably late. JUICE hung out at Barsonic for a drink, and then headed over to Zouk slightly after midnight.

There was no sign of either stars for a long time, but we were determined. When we spotted them walking to the console, we paced ourselves from the bar into the DJ console in no time. We’re shameless fans.

Matthew Stone rocked the crowd with his brand of London sound, refreshing to our ears. Rolling in the London dance sound to Little Boots’ ‘Stuck On Repeat (Fake Blood Remix)’ to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ and the classic ‘Raining Men’, the night was filled with tunes that won’t let your feet stop dancing. JUICE partied up behind the DJ console with the two English fashionistas, Dazed & Confused Fashion Editor Kate Shilingford and Carson, a close friend of the group’s, over tipples of vodka and champagne. Hic!

JUICE had so much fun, we didn’t want it to end. Fashion and music – a brilliant combo. Thanks Zouk for bringing them to KL!
