Usually, the local tradition of yee sang (prosperity toss) is done throughout CNY. It’s a very colourful dish that normally comes with raw fish, shredded vegetables, crackers, and sauces.

Quick fact: The traditional ritual of tossing yee sang actually started after World War II when a caterer in Seremban decided to revive the Chinese ancestral culture of eating raw fish during auspicious celebrations in an attempt to rebuild his business during Chinese New Year.

When you are tossing yee sang, it is important to make a mess out of it. The messier, the better! The higher you toss, the higher the chances of your wishes coming true.

Anyway, since this year has been quite different, why not spice it up a little and continue the tradition with some unique yee sang packages.
