Party & Let Loose at Fred Perry Night Tales: JioSpace This Weekend

Those familiar with the British fashion label Fred Perry would know the brand for their iconic polo shirts, made famous in the modern age by the rock band Blur. The brand is also notorious for hosting some of the best gigs that showcase Malaysia’s up-and-coming artists.

Their latest event is Fred Perry Night Tales: JioSpace, a nightlong music event happening this Saturday, 11 November. The event aims to celebrate the culture of nightlife, being a collision of music, fashion, and subcultures, as well as championing individuality as much as togetherness.

The event will centre around a lineup of music performances by emerging and established local talents, with fringe offerings and activations by supporting partners such as Connor’s, Hitz, and TuneCore.

“Fred Perry has always been at the forefront of creating unique and immersive events here in Malaysia, and we are excited to invite everyone to experience a night out with us at Fred Perry Night Tales: JioSpace,” says Darren Teh, Marketing Manager for Fred Perry Malaysia.

“So put on your favourite Fred Perry shirt, and get ready for a night of good music, good fun and good company, as we celebrate the vibrant nightlife that is unique to Malaysia.”

Fred Perry Night Tales: JioSpace will feature live music performances and DJ sets. Music acts that will be taking over the stage are:

Ska punk and reggae heavyweights Plague of Happiness
New-wave rockers Prasasti
Synth-pop artist and producer FLQ
Electro-pop maestro Darren Ashley
Dark-pop crooner Su San
Hyperpop starlet Lil Asian Thiccie
Indie and garage rock band Monotones
Brit-rock group Faculty Of Joy, the winner of the Fred Perry x TuneCore open call.

DJs set to helm the decks are:

Reggae and dub selecta JAHVALION
Malaysia’s Top 10 female DJ MJ
Underground electronic favourite rEmPiT g0dDe$$
Bass house maestro Nick Davis

There’s also the Fred Perry Ambassador Showcase, with these ambassadors sharing their night tales on a perfect night out. Connor’s Good Times Bar will also be serving drinks to attendees, and those looking to elevate their look can get airbrushed tattoos and temporary piercings by Snugy Studio.
