Out of Touch Conservatives (Read: Fox News) Brand Radiohead as “Poor Man’s Coldplay”
In today’s latest edition of “Oh, old white men, you so silly,”, fake news pioneer, Fox News, has been busy trying to prove their TV personalities as in touch, hip-with-it figures. Of course this being Fox News, they inhabit an alternate reality in which Coldplay is above Radiohead in the hierarchy of good taste. The host of The Greg Gutfeld Show – another weekly show by Fox News that poorly attempts the kind of political satire popularised by Comedy Central – bizarrely remarks that “Radiohead is a fine band, but they stole everything from Coldplay” in a bit from the show’s latest episode, continuing that the band “is the poor man’s Coldplay.”
Watch the episode below, circa the 36:50 minute mark:
In reaction to the relatively silent guffaw of the internet, the tragically hip satirist Gutfeld responded with the news channel’s standard Trump defence of “issa joke, guys.”

Radiohead fanboys, fret not, this is merely trolling – Gutfeld is obviously aware that Radiohead is a parody of Coldplay created by The Onion. As did fellow comedian Katherine Timpf whom he interacted with in the video above, who previously had mocked the joke band as “elaborate moaning and whining for ring tone sounds.”
We’re sure Fox News personalities are, too, in on the joke reading this. Plus, they can rest assured that they will be in the same company as Billy Corgan.
