The vibe of Emir Hermono’s forthcoming concept album 3AM in Jakarta – based on what’s revealed of it – has been on the lowtempo, somnambulant side. Late night music to get your feels on while in the 021. Latest (and final) single, ’Cuma Kamu’, ropes in Jakartan r’n’b duo Novakane (producer Ben Atta and singer Kay Oscar) – so naturally that Ta-ku-influenced gloom of ‘Fake Friends’ and its title track is replaced with a lighter ‘90s r’n’b jig, both in tone of voice and production.
