Molek FMDigital Art & Culture Festival 2011
The historical Suffolk House of Penang gets an interactive makeover as the host for Penang’s most exciting electronic festival!
From 15 to 16 July, The Digital Art & Culture Festival will showcase some of Malaysia’s finest talents in digital architecture, art and design, as well as workshops and educational talks from industry professionals. Interactive artworks by Malaysian artists Wong Hoy Cheong and Liew Kung Yu will narrate the different histories of Penang while the Digital Capture exhibition allows visitors to explore the virtual rooms of the exhibition in real time.
The main highlight of the festival is the Suffolk House Video Mapping, where a video projection directly onto the facade of Suffolk House will illustrate the evolution of the building over the past 200 years.
Local artists Flica, Rain F, Fauzi Yusoff, Fairuz Sulaiman, Deepset and Kontak are banding together for an audio visual performance called ‘Captains of Light’.
