Every month JUICE gets down with a trendsetting, jetsetting type and asks them to unearth their favourite people, places and things. This month, Killeur Calculateur drummer Ali Johan tells us what bangs his skins.

THE WKND SESSIONS

A zine by some of the most thoughtful individuals in the punk scene. Articles range from personal to confrontational, with ballsy and honest reviews to boot. The gigs they put together are great fun as well. Good stuff!

NASI KANDAR
I’m always on the lookout for good nasi kandar. Of late my favorite ones have either suffered from a drop in standards or have closed down. And not all mamaks with a “Restoran Nasi Kandar” sign are legit nasi kandar joints. Crucial part of my life!

Bike shop/cafe/design studio owned by friends of mine. Food is good and it’s got a very easy going vibe.

Hooked on this since I was 14. Many days have passed without shower.

YOUTUBE
Youtube is massive. I use it for work and leisure. It’s crazy how the things you find on it extend to the extreme ends of the spectrum. It’ll be hours until I realise I’ve been jumping from one video to another. Sounds familiar, no?
