LISTEN: The Legendary Diana Ross Announces First New Album in 15 Years, Shares Single ‘Thank You’
After her success with the supergroup The Supremes as well as her solo career, legendary icon and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Diana Ross returns with a new original album, her first in 15 years, and reveals the title track ‘Thank You’.
Recorded at her home studio during lockdown, she co-wrote and collaborated with a variety of songwriters and producers on Thank You, including Jack Antonoff, who is known for his work with artists such as Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Lorde.
“This collection of songs is my gift to you with appreciation and love. I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to record this glorious music at this time,” Ross said in a statement.
It is her 25th album following 2006’s I Love You, a collection covers of classic love songs. Every Day Is a New Day, her last album with original material was released in 1999.
Thank You will be released later this year in autumn.
You can listen to the title track (perfect for a living room dance session, tbh) from the upcoming album here:
