DC Comic Super Heroes Flagship Store Opening @ Pavilion

Look! Up in the sky! Superheroes have descended to Malaysia! Network Pte Ltd, licensees of Warner Bros Consumer Products officially launched their DC Comics Super Heroes flagship store at Pavilion KL’s Centre Court with a spectacular comic-themed event recently. Located on the 5th floor of Pavilion KL, the shop is the biggest DC Comics store in Asia, complete with DC Comics life-sized characters and an exclusive replica of the Batmobile and Batpod.

The launch party kicked off with a performance by an acrobatic troupe, followed by resident rocker Faizal Tahir who drove the crowd wild with his charismatic stage presence, and Project Superstar winner Desiree Tan who gave an understated performance which was a stark contrast to Faizal’s.

After that, there was the DC Comics fashion show that revealed the store’s wide collection of superhero-inspired clothing and accessories. Simultaneously, DC Comics super heroes like Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawk Girl, The Joker and Harley Quinn mingled amongst the excited crowd who took turns cam-whoring with their favourite comic characters.

The event drew to a grand close with a lucky draw where 30 winners were randomly selected to win a pair of movie tickets to the upcoming action flick, Green Lantern (staring Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively) and the grand prize would bring two lucky guests to an all-expense paid trip to New York for the world premier of the film. Overall, the launch party can be described as a grand celebration for all who grew up loving comics and spandex-tight superheroes.

DC Comics Super Heroes flagship store was officially launched on 31 May.
