Irish musician and soundtrack scorer David Holmes’ last solo album was eight years ago. So instead of another soundtrack snooze, he stocks up on munchies and goes on an adventurous ambient road trip. Echoes of Primal Scream, Jesus and the Mary Chain and David Bowie are heard as he makes his way through trippy town while driving some pensive guitars against My Bloody Valentine wails (‘Holy Pictures’).
