Following the tropes of alternative dance music, Vultures is full of quirkily uninspired song titles like ‘Heavy Metal Music Magazines’. Fret not though, their music is anything but. The two Dutch producers take a while to get going but once the aforementioned track’s synth lines segue into Iron Maiden territory, even blinkered ravers will turn into headbangers. David Gilmour Girls isn’t always about breaking the norm; what little vocals they use embellishes the album with a pop sensibility. Ignore the off-putting ‘swamp rave’ label and just enjoy the music.
