Cut Your Hair Instead of Your Luck At These Barbershops For CNY

Thirsty for JUICE content? Quench your cravings on our Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp

There’s a superstition that those celebrating Chinese New Year aren’t allowed to cut their hair for the first 14 days or too near to this festivity because it may slash your luck away. As eyeroll-worthy as this tradition is, many people practice it to this day which is why we decided to round up 5 barbershops around the Klang Valley that’ll take good care of your luck and your locks — including the situation on your face.

This barbershop is APW’s most recent tenant at its row in Bangsar. 52 Barbers offer services such as shaves, beard trims and haircuts — completed with a hot towel service. Prices range between RM40 to RM85, and its clientele starts from kids aged 5 and above. Due to its cozy two-chair floor plan, it would be wise to book an appointment online with 52 Barbers before visiting the store to avoid from being turned away.
