A shocking tragedy has shaken the crypto scene after a prominent Ukrainian trader, Konstantin Galish, known online as Kostya Kudo, was found dead in his Lamborghini Urus in Kyiv. The 32-year-old crypto entrepreneur’s death came just days after a $19 billion crypto market crash, sparking new discussions about the mental toll of digital trading.

Who Was Konstantin Galish?

Galish was the co-founder of Cryptology Key Trading Academy, where he taught thousands to trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and NFTs. Known for his social media presence and sharp trading insights, he had built a strong following in Ukraine’s growing crypto community.

But behind his online success, Galish faced personal and financial struggles. On 11 October, Kyiv Police confirmed he was found with a gunshot wound in the passenger seat of his luxury SUV, alongside a firearm registered in his name. Authorities suspect suicide.

Signs of Depression and Financial Strain

Before his death, Galish reportedly sent messages to his family describing his depression and financial difficulties. “On the eve of his death, the man informed his relatives about his depressed state due to existing financial difficulties, and also sent them a farewell message,” police said.

His passing highlights the emotional burden many crypto traders face, especially during volatile market downturns. According to Financial Express, reports cited that Galish–who lived a luxurious lifesyle owning a several high-end cars–had lost at least $30 million of investors’ money.

Crypto Crash Tied to Trump Tariffs

The tragedy came shortly after a global crypto market crash triggered by tariff announcements from Donald Trump on Truth Social. Bitcoin fell over 12%, dragging Ethereum and other major coins into steep declines.

The sudden collapse wiped out billions in market value and left traders in the red. As crypto markets fluctuate, Galish’s death is a grim reminder of the pressures behind digital wealth and the human cost of market crashes that go beyond the balance sheet.
