Crossover Sunway Pyramid, Where the Bunyip Shares a Space with Flower Power

Opening its new store in Sunway Pyramid, the Crossover Concept Store had three consecutive days (from 15 June to 17 June) of specials for its visitors. As each day was themed to cater its audience, JUICE would want to highlight the 2 final days, 16 and 17 June, where Crossover launched the Sneaker Freaker x PUMA Bunyip, PUMA x UNDEFEATED Clyde and DR MARTENS x Liberty London lines respectively.
All we can say is, finally PUMA Bunyip is available to purchase in Malaysia! As JUICE has been following these sweet pair of kicks since its announcement and launch, we are overjoyed to be able to physically see and feel the craftsmanship. Crossover’s launch did the brand justice as they arranged an interesting display of the shoes breaking out of cages, like the monster it is, and having an illustrative contest among its attendees for what the mythical creature would actually look like. They even had a “Design Your Own PUMA” challenge, which produced… pretty unusual results to say the least.
However, the Bunyip launch didn’t overshadow another PUMA collaborative release. The PUMA x UNDEFEATED Clyde features shoes made from nylon and displayed the classic PUMA Clyde design. These shoes come in five spring colours and boasts to be a worthy addition to anyone’s spring/summer sneaker collection.
Also, being one of the only chains of stores in Malaysia to dedicate a section and line to the Dr Martens brand, Crossover managed to put their best foot forward by making the day specially dedicated to the classic and sturdy trademark. As shoppers were given the opportunity to peruse, the shop played a short video loop of Dr Martens’ production at the front of the store. They even had photo booklets and a wall dedicated to the visual evolution of the label’s history.
Crossover also added a touch of class to the label’s new and interesting DR MARTENS x Liberty London formation. Using the shoes as makeshift vases, the floral designed boots brought an appealing quality to wallpaper-type motifs. Although we aren’t going to be using good quality boots as our plant holders any time soon, we would like to commend the brand for putting out a daring design and for encouraging people to really up their footwear fashion game.
