From Kuantan to Johor, the nationwide Converse Block Party Roadshow came to their last leg at Selangor for a party to remember! It was a day for families, skaters, art lovers and basketball enthusiasts as the event activities included street games, basketball, skateboard and dance exhibitions, graffiti art, food vendor, a flea market and kick a$$ performances by international and local acts.
Most of the crowd marveled at the gravity-defying tricks on Cons customised obstacles by local skateboarders during the Best Trick Skate Competition while others cheered for their favourite teams for the 3-on-3 Basketball Competition. In the end, the winning skateboarders and basketball team walked away with cool Converse merchandises.
Art enthusiasts enjoyed a graffiti wall clinic demo done by Vandal, spray brush tattoos, as well as Star Chevron silk screen print tees. The Aggrobeats, DJ Nu Mark (of Jurassic 5) and MC Kit with beatboxer The See provided the music for the party while Roland musicians had heart thumping jamming sessions with V-Drums.
Overall the Converse Block Party was a celebration of street games, friendship and the brand’s significant role as a fashion icon as well as part of Malaysia’s youth culture.
