Most coffee places these days quickly turn into a hipster haven. Located just behind of Publika (yeah, that’s right, there’s more to Solaris Dutamas than just Publika), Coffee Société is still safe from the packs  of the fixie-riding, thick rimmed glasses wearing, triangle loving bunch for now, but you’ll still see one or two walking in and out during your short visit there. The café was started as owner Kar Wai’s passion business project to bring the coffee culture of Melbourne that he enjoyed during his life there to Malaysia, and in his efforts to do so, he has spent a lot of time get their coffee to the high standards that it maintains today. In has updated to a more comfortable décor that keeps things feeling slightly rustic with a lot of wood in the design to keep a natural vibe. The prices here don’t hurt the wallet as much most bigger coffee chains do, and these guys actually know their coffee.

CLIENTELE Working adults, and families… and hipsters are welcome too… if needs be.

DRINKS A variety of non alcoholic beverages, with the coffee being the highlight. Try their Coffee in the Dark promotion, which happens every Friday and Saturday starting at 6pm.

MUSIC POLICY Easy listening.

MENU An extensive brunch menu with our favourite being the sandwiches. There is also a desserts menu revolving around their bakery. The Carrot Cake is a must-try. A MUST-TRY, damn it!

PARKING Solaris Dutamas parking lot. Or you can be like the other free loaders and park on the main road, but it’ll be a bit of a walk.
