Thirsty for JUICE content? Quench your cravings on our Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp

With all the fun Cyberjaya Multimedia Festival brought in last year, it’s no wonder they’re coming back better than ever. The weekend affair happening 11 & 12 August hosted by SouthEast Asia’s Kre8tif! Conference and Content Festival, will definitely reignite the creative sparks in Cyberjaya by bringing together content creators, entrepreneurs, technologists, DIY practitioners and artists.

Just like before, it’ll be happening at familiar grounds of Centrus Mall in CBD Perdana and of course there will be bomb-ass local music, animation, film screenings, creative conferences, tech exhibitions and marketplaces. Get our creative juices flowing or just chill and enjoy the atmosphere.

Here’s all you need to know about what’s in store for #CMF18:

1. Live Music

Headlining CMF18’s music stage on Saturday are Ipoh rock outfit Bittersweet – back in the limelight after a brief hiatus last year, R&B songstress NJWA – armed with an eclectic neo-soul style that shines on her new EP, and psychedelic rock quintet Ramayan. Concluding the dynamic line-up on the first day are the eccentric and theatrical Iqbal M,  Sarawak’s R&B upstart Sasha Ningkan, Payola Records’ experimental indie unit Skit and Johor Bahru’s dream pop duo Juno and Hanna.

There will also be Make It Happen’s Music Edition exhibition that highlights the creative process behind music-related products like albums, album artwork, music videos, and live shows.

2. Do-It-Yourself Creative Economy Conference

If you’re a local artist who needs more insights on how to unleash your creativity to its fullest potential, then this one is for you. The conference will focus on grassroot empowerment by nurturing local creative confidence through knowledge sharing, led by inspiring thought-leaders and self-reliant creatives. The panel of speakers include Anas Abdul Aziz (Co-Founder and Chief Content Officer of Animonsta Studios), Takahara Suiko (The Venopian Solitude), Johnson Lam (Founder of Kaki DIY), and more.

3. Cyberjaya Zine and DIY Fest

With more than 30 booths selling zines and everything DIY, you can bet that the underground writers scene will be well-represented. Discover alternative opinions, reviews, and rants that go against popular beliefs and trends.

There will also be musical presentation of local animation favourites and cartoon theme song covers. Expect another unique roster of bands at this section such as The Fridays, Jaggfuzzbeats, Milo Dinosaur, P-RM, Senja, Maddame and Keledexx (who will perform their own renditions of ‘Keluang Man’ and ‘Abang Sidi’ we hear).

4. Animations Icon

Sit back and submerge yourself at the outdoor screening of Konsert Hora Horey Didi and Friends as well as animated TV series such as Omar & Hana, Boboiboy, Ejen Ali, Chuck Chicken, and Harry & Bunnie, at the open air circular amphitheater of Centrus Mall. Fans young and old can meet with some of the team members behind these productions during the meet and greet session.

5. Collectors market, photography, tech installations and more..
