Immerse Yourself in New Wave Cinema With Cinephilia

Join Cinephilia this coming weekend for three film screenings, each featuring a director whose work has drawn inspiration from French new wave cinema. The event includes screenings of Wong Kar-Wai’s Chungking Express, Djibril Diop Mambéty’s Touki Bouki (Journey of the Hyena), and Tomás Gutiérrez Alea’s Memories of Underdevelopment (Memorias del Subdesarrollo). Showcasing the work of three directors from around the globe, Cinephilia‘s event is a great chance to sample the best films that arose in the wake of European art cinema.

Check out the trailers for the three films below:

Wong Kar-Wai, Chungking Express (1994)

Djibril Diop Mambéty, Touki Bouki (Journey of the Hyena) (1973)

Tomás Gutiérrez Alea, Memories of Underdevelopment (Memorias del Subdesarrollo) (1968)
