Chuckie Wins 1st Annual Data Awards
Will.i.am announces the creation of the 1st Annual Data Awards to acknowledge DJs and celebrate DJ culture and his upcoming Who Killed the Music? program. DJs are the main reason for the existence of clubs and most people have heard their songs, but don’t know what they look like or even what their names are. The Data Awards was made so that these artist could receive some recognition on the front lines. And just our luck, one of the winners of this award is gonna be here this Friday!
DJ Chuckie was awarded Best Remix for David Guetta and Akon’s ‘Sexy B!tch (Chuckie & Lil John Remix)’. Head on down to Zouk tonight as Chuckie kick the bass up and let’s see if he will pull out this winning card into his much-anticipated set. KL marks Chuckie’s second Asia stop after Bed Supperclub in Bangkok for his Asia and Australia Tour 2010, so let’s show him some big KL love. Can’t wait!
The 1st Annual Data Awards was held on the 30 January in Los Angeles. Other DJs who won were David Guetta for Best Dance DJ/Producer Solo, Swedish House Mafia for Best Dance DJ/Producer Group and Major Lazer’s ‘Pon de Floor’ for Best Original Track.
