When you think of alcohol and raves, you’ll automatically think of blood-pumping electronic dance music and a lot of boogey. To diversify nightlife and the electronic music scene is Electronic Theatrical Music by Chivas Regal Malaysia, a one of a kind performance concept that unites contrasting but complementary passions by theatrical production and intense music mixing or more specifically, 90 minutes of beat-dropping accompanied by acrobatics, dance, and theatrical feats inspired by The Art of Blending. In other words, it’s a music festival unlike any other and the first ever ETM in the world will be held here in Malaysia, bringing the party from Kuala Lumpur to Penang and Johor Bahru from 20 October until December.

Check out behind-the-scenes footage below and see why the artistes and key performers involved are excited to put on this exclusive show:

Chivas Regal – a former supplier of Future Music Festival Asia 2014 – returns with a bang this time with some of the best artists for a world class party experience. Aesthetics are assured; there’ll be choreographers for a dance number that’ll get you pumped up, sound engineers to perfect the night with the best in dance music, and much more. A nationwide series of modern on-trade events and performances called the Chivas Collab will kickstart with ETM, so expect bigger and cooler shows from the team in the near future.

There will be three Signature ETM performances at the three main cities and a series of smaller parties in multiple iconic bars and clubs across the nation. Behind the music direction is Bo, who is more well-known under his moniker Cuurley. A veteran in the scene with over a decade of experience, Cuurley will be bringing his signature sound on stage and exquisite production chops to the show, working closely with other key producing artists that will bless our eyes and ears for the night.

Some of them include:

Robert Mendoza

Acclaimed violinist Mendoza is known for his popular YouTube covers of contemporary tunes, injecting the traditional instrument into some of modern day’s hottest music.

Joey G

Joey G will be playing something very different from what he’s usually known for. It will be a high energy electronic music journey across a few genres.

Dennis Yin

Grooving along to soundtrack of the night set is the charismatic Dennis Yin, one of the country’s most sought-after hip hop dancers known for his swift movements.

Joy Shavini Victor

With tantalising vocals that can pack an arena, Joy Shavini Victor is set to take on center stage to serenade the crowd with her belts of spiritual blues tunes.

Jane Victor Solberg

Dropping moves mid-air while maintaining graceful and composed posture is none other than Solberg, a renowned local aerialist who is set to make jaw-dropping performances during the show.

The ensemble of performers are brought together by the show’s producer, Sumo Eleven, and will bring in key artists that are experts in their respective performing arts fields to create one of Chivas’ highly anticipated events this year. ETM Signature will be happening at OZOO Club Penang on 28 October from 11pm onwards, and in Johor Bahru in December.
