18-year-old Jahmaal Noel Fyffe aka Chipmunk is London’s answer to Soulja Boy. At 15, Chipmunk was already caining props in the notorious underground grime circuit having released 2 monsta mixtapes. This led to godfather of grime, Wiley, adopting Chipmunk as his protégé.

With more than favourable feedback from DJs like Westwood, Shortee Blitz and Logan Sama, Chipmunk has scored tours in the UK and beyond. Now with Wiley’s full backing, Chipmunk is working on his first studio album I Am Chipmunk. His latest single ‘Chip Diddy Chip’ showcases the young rapper’s seamless lyrical delivery over slick electro breakbeats. Over 3 million plays on his Myspace and a Mobo Award for Best UK Newcomer – if things keep going this way for Chipmunk, you can be sure a movie will be in the works. R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
