The wine library
Located next door and linked to The Whiskey Bar, Carmen’s Vinothek is another project by the Werner group. Named after Werner’s wine sommelier, Carmen, ‘Vinothek’ is a German word meaning wine library. The venue’s concept allows patrons to try different types of wines in small quantities rather than by the bottle. Carmen’s Vinothek offers over 600 labels of both Old and New World wines including those from France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Australia, Chile, New Zealand, Argentina, South Africa and even Lebanon, so there’s plenty to try before commiting to one. Kind of like dating for wine lovers….

Clientele Wine connoisseurs and those who want to develop an appreciation of wine.

Music policy A live band plays jazz music every Monday to Saturday between 8pm to 12mn next door at The Whiskey Bar.

Drinks Wine is served in portions of 25ml, 75ml and 150ml. 4 Vino Tech units are set up to let you taste 32 varieties of rare wines by the glass from different region. They are operated using a magnetic strip card (similar to a hotel’s room key) which can be obtained at the bar. The cards are configured for pre-payment, but can also record purchases like a debit card. Wine labels in the Vino Tech units are replaced once a month to make sure the supply is fresh and varied. Wine trivia comes by way of a Mystery Bottle. If you are the closest to guess the wine’s origins you get to take a bottle home.
