Mad dogs and Englishmen….
With a name like Bulldog Pub and Restaurant, you can expect nothing less than a classic English pub here. Tucked away in a quiet corner of residential Taman Sri Hartamas, the concept of Bulldog is spot-on English – from the décor to the traditional English pub grub and drink; all that’s missing is a picture of the Queen, although they do have the red telephone booth! There’s live music downstairs on Friday nights and British tables and dartboards upstairs if you’re up for some healthy competition.

Clientele Predominantly Hartamas locals, Bulldog is also known to as an afterhours hangout.

Music policy Commercial music from the 80s and 90s, live bands on Friday nights.

Drinks There’s Guinness, Kilkenny, Tiger, Anchor Smooth, Heineken Extra Cold and Strongbow Cider on tap and the usual cocktails, spirits and house wines.

Eats Traditional (non-halal) English pub fare right down to the peas, carrots and corn that comes served up on the side, plus and a smattering of local dishes for those seeking out familiar Asian flavours. English breakfast is served all day, and house specials include the bangers and mash, roast beef with Yorkshire pudds, chicken tikka masala and … pies, who ate all the pies, who ate all the…. But nothing quite matches up to the post-club recovery food that is beans on toast!
