Rustic rooftop R & R….
The Anggun KL is one of those budget boutique hotels that you can’t help but stop and take pictures of. If you’re not checking in, head upstairs to its rooftop restolounge, Bubu (formerly Kupu-Kupu). Named after the fish-trap inspired lamps that hang over its garden courtyard, a bottle of Tiger goes for RM9 here, making this an affordable destination. The environment is so supremely laid back you could easily curl up in a corner and read a book here too but it’s also makes a great place for a date over Asian cuisine without the inclusion of hawker-stall MSG or the intrusion of street peddlers.

Drinks There is a range of fine wines, coffee and fresh tropical juices. Wines are available by the glass from RM10. If all that doesn’t put you in the mood, then get a bottle of Tiger for only RM9.

Eats Serves an array of delectable Asian, Indian and Arabic cuisine, their specialties include barbecues, grilled seafood, kebabs and the signature Anggun Hot Plate BBQ Steamboat. The restaurant serves brekkie from 7.30am-10.30am, lunch from 11.30am -2pm, and dinner from 6pm-10pm.

Open Mon-Sun: 7.30am-11pm.

Parking Free parking around Tengkat Tong Shin. But if you can’t find a space, you might have to pay RM10 at Changkat and take a short walk.
