Bottle World
Beer God
Bottle World is a craft beer bar adorned with more than 50 varieties of whimsically labelled bottles from all over the world. It’s a simple place, as laidback as the beverage it specialises in, even sporting beanbags in the lounge.
Besides the colourful bottles, decorations are kept to a minimum, with potted plants seen aesthetically placed on the shelves and a painting on an exposed brick wall.
With only a handful of bars that serve craft beer in Malaysia, Bottle World’s dedication to the drink sees a connoisseur behind the counter. The options he provides are essentially sour, bitter, and fruity exaggerations from the original taste of beer most Malaysians are accustomed to. Even the colours of the beers are distinctive, red being the most exotic.
Since it’s the year of the monkey, IPA banana bread craft beer is being promoted with a taste that’s surprisingly pleasant with a homely smell. There’s a brew that contains whiskey, one that tastes like chocolate, and some so pungent, they should just be shots.
The food served exudes the right flavours to keep customers feeling at ease as they kick back a few pints. Sesame is a common ingredient, seen on the lamb kebabs and chicken. Crispy fish fingers are also offered, all with an underwhelming taste in order to sit well with the drinks.
If you’re looking for a fun adventure (that involves alcohol), this bar boasts bold flavours of beer, all waiting to be tried.
