People today don’t paint the town red anymore, they do it in white and here’s why – the new nightspot Blanc Le Club! Blanc which means white in French, is the latest addition to the row after rows of clubs found in Jalan Doraisamy, or as we more commonly refer to as AHR.

Encompassing over 2 floors and 3 units of old, British colonial building on the outside (this was the original façade since 1940), JUICE was expecting an air of uppity clutter and Victorian Chippendale furnishing inside, but lo’ and behold, what a surprise it was for us to set eyes on contemporary designs in minimalistic surroundings.

The walls, furniture and even the floor is painted in neutral white but what sets the place from being plain and boring is the neon, blue glow radiating from the floating LED lights. With 2 floors of dance space you can have all the leg room you need, and to help you with your dance moves is the ‘energetic’ lower dance floor that is hooked up to 200 bass transducers that reverberate the beat of the music. Blanc Le Club also boasts an elevated DJ console and two Pro Display Clearview 360 degrees screen that projects LCD images on the dance floor.

While the predominant crowd are from the age of 18 and 30, JUICE did spot groups of old timers who are there just to enjoy the music. According to Adelle a regular, she loves the Long island ice tea and Jager bombs, the Ladies Night on every Flirt Wednesday featuring DJ Goldfish and the R&B nights on Tuesdays with DJ Too-Tite on the decks. If you’re more of a weekend party person then on Thursdays is Mash Up featuring guest DJs, during Fridays Infinity nights dance to the beat of DJ Ken @ Master K and on Push Electronic Dance Saturday, pump it up to DJ Ray Soo’s spins.

Cover charge is RM50 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the boys while the ladies get in for free and on Ladies Night Wednesday they get to enjoy free cocktails too. Door are open from 10pm to 3am.
