M’sian Crypto Community Set To Celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day at JioSpace This Month

To the uninitiated, Bitcoin Pizza Day is celebrated worldwide by the crypto community to commemorate the day (22 May 2010) when programmer Laszlo Hanyecz famously purchased two pizzas for 10,000 Bitcoins, the equivalent of USD41 back then (the price of 1 BTC went over USD109,000 earlier this year). This historical transaction, just a year after Bitcoin’s inception, has become a symbol of the cryptocurrency’s journey and evolution.

If you were at last year’s Bitcoin Pizza Day gathering in Malaysia, you’d have noticed one thing: the community grew and the venue could hardly fit all the colourful attendees.
