Big Talk Release New Single ‘Replica’

Following American rock band The Killer’s hiatus after nine years of album releases and back to back touring, drummer Ronnie Vannucci decided to bring his own ideas and his own voice front-and-centre for the first time with his side project called Big Talk.

Recruiting old friend and former bandmate, Taylor Milne, Ronnie started recording at The Killers’ Battle Born studios in Las Vegas between November 2010 and January 2011 with help from producer Joe Chicarelli (who has previously worked with The Strokes and My Morning Jacket), and mixing at London’s Assault & Battery with Alan Moulder (U2, The Killers, Foo Fighters).

‘Replica’, the latest single from Big Talk’s upcoming self titled debut will be released on Little Oil / Epitaph on 26 September. It is also the second single to be taken from Big Talk, following their first teaser ‘Getaways’.  The single comes with a video directed by Robert Schober (Metallica, My Chemical Romance) and featuring Vannucci’s Big Talk bandmates for the first time.  The clip additionally features a cameo from Weezer’s Matt Sharp, who also appears on the album.
