Be a Punk Heroine with the First Ever FRED PERRY x LE KILT Collection
We love it when opposites attract, like how this collection is a combination of preppy and punk. Polar opposites but totally in tune with the celebration of feminine non-conformity.
This is the first time Fred Perry have collaborated with Le Kilt. The collection can be described as a fuse of traditional Scottish tartans with a rebellious spirit.
Le Kilt owner Samantha named the label after the early ‘80s post-punk club, Le Kilt on Greek Street in Soho and draws inspiration from her Scottish heritage. Iconic Fred Perry preppy styles like the pique shirt, v-neck jumper and a-line skirt are seen here reinvented with a punk DIY spirit.
Each piece features Le Kilt’s signature kilt pin under the embroidered Laurel Wreath that we find super edgy.
“That’s what I like about the kilt as a piece of clothing; it’s hard and girly at the same time – which is everything the post-punk movement was about,” Samatha said about the collection.
