JUICE can’t tell you how much we adore Obama. The 44th president of the US has become somewhat of a universal political-rockstar figure and to prove how awesomely cool the guy is, Obama has also pledged his support to animal rights – an act we admire a helluva lot.
Despite his already-large and still-growing following, Barrack Obama can now add fluffy, furry friends to that list. During the democrat’s speech a lady from the crowd shouted out “what about animal rights?” to which Obama responded that he cares about animal rights very much.
The democrat added that he didn’t just say that because he has two daughters who want a dog, but his interest for animal welfare goes beyond that. “I think how we treat our animals reflect how we treat each other,” he said. “And it’s very important that we have a president who is mindful of the cruelty that is perpetrated on animals”.
Mr. O has sponsored a bill to prevent horse slaughter in the Illinois state senate that has been repeatedly endorsed by the Humane Society, and has vowed to do more. Sigh! Our hero … and we don’t even have to scratch our balls or chase our tails to know he’s a good man.
