Bands Not To Be Missed At Laneway Singapore

Thirsty for JUICE content? Quench your cravings on our Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp

It’s no secret that we’re a wee bit excited for Laneway in Singapore! Who wouldn’t be? Finally an outdoor indie fest in SE Asia! And while the kickass line up may be a little daunting, we’ve got a rundown on the acts you don’t want to miss as well as a little wish list of our own. Let’s party!

We’re pretty excited for New Zealand’s electro pop princess, Ladyhawke! We’ve been digging the new album but we’re really hoping she plays some of her old tracks like ‘Paris is burning’ and ‘My Delirium’.

In 2009, JUICE named LadyHawke’s album one of the year’s best. For the latest on the Kiwi, check out her website.

Right after LadyHawke, stick around and catch Beach House. Known for dreamy vocals and one dramatic organ, we foresee a more spellbinding set than Harry Potter could put on.

Check out the latest interview with Beach House from our friends at JUICE Singapore. More on Beach House here.

We’re definitely not going to miss Holy F***. These Canadian disco punks put on such an electric show, you’ll be yelling more expletives than Mel Gibson making a late night phone call to his baby mamma.

Find out more about Holy F*** (like what those stars stand for), read the interview or head to the site.

If Yeasayer’s set is half as fun as their videos, don’t expect to be sitting down! Please tell us they are bringing the dancers from the O.N.E video! Hold us like the phone!

For more Yeasayer, check out our review of the album, Odd Blood or head the their site.

Since the bands last tour was completely sold out, we expect good things from road veterans, Foals. Um, can you please play ‘Spanish Sahara’?

For all Foals goodness, check out their myspace or read Muna’s interview with band.

Closing the show is Temper Trap. We predict that they will pull out the gem ‘Sweet Disposition’ and suddenly all exhaustion, sweat and effects of all day inebriation will melt away and all festival goers will be leaving on a euphoric high and that, friends, is how this will end, mark our words. (Don’t mark our words.)

We gave love to The Temper Trap back in 2009, get slightly more updated news on their website.

Not that these are the only bands you should be checking out. Here’s the full set list for the day (click to enlarge).

See you there! Be sure to come say hi and party with JUICE!
