Folk singer-songwriter Azmyl Yunor is about to release his first LP. Entitled Warga, it’ll be out next month. Although many would consider Warga his first attempt at a proper studio recording, the man with the husky-Bangi voice has tonnes of old material – limited releases on cassette tapes and also an EP.

New tracks ‘Let It Come’ and ‘I Just Don’t Know What To Do’ can be found on his myspace. Aside from Azmyl sounding like well… Azmyl, this is probably his noblest attempt as a solo artist without his backing band The Sigarettes. Straight-laced and focused, the tracks are filled with dusty acoustic guitars, banjo-plucking goodness and carry his signature country blues twang. A far cry from his bizarre side projects Ciplak and Maharajah Commission.

Warga will be released together with a bonus live CD – HIDUP: Hari Ini Di Ukay Perdana. So if hyped up bands exhaust you and noisy electro makes you hurl, take a break and kickback with this old folkster.
