Attention Fanboys, Fangirls! Check Out These Concerts Coming to Malaysia

Thirsty for JUICE content? Quench your cravings on our Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp

Still recovering from Ed Sheeran’s concert earlier this month? There’s just something about yelling lyrics at the top of your lungs, being surrounded by fellow screaming fans, sweating and jumping all around the arena, and of course, seeing your idol that makes the whole concert experience surreal. You wake up the next day and you still can’t believe that you were part of the entire fiasco. The entire experience is just overwhelming (and exhausting), but you could easily get addicted to this.

JUICE is here to feed that addiction, because it’s the end of the year (what better time to spend your dough?) and more exciting events are coming your way.

Mark your calendars, because here is a list of upcoming concerts and events happening in Malaysia:

The headliners for this event are Altimet, whom obviously is representing us, Southside (Thailand), Mean XS (Singapore), Sonjah (Indonesia), DPMB (Indonesia), and Jaymie Foo from YMY Fam will be representing Brunei. Not only that, other Malaysian rap luminaries like Aman RA, Balan Kashmir, Airliftz, Ntah Sapa-Sapa Ntah, Flow Fam, Lawalah Familia, and many more will be performing too. #REPRESENT

If you love EDM and raving the night away, or just want to relive the Summer of ’08 (you remember Port Dickson, don’t cha?), you’ve probably already purchased your ticket and applied for leave for your recovery.

Live Your Music presents Tiësto, an intimate show like no other, on 8 December ’17 at KL Live. Purchase your tickets here.

 5. Imagine Dragons

With ‘Believer’ blasting on radio stations everywhere, Imagine Dragons are back with their latest EP Evolve. “It’s time to begin, isn’t it?” These were the first lyrics that brought the band to their stardom in 2012. Now in 2017, true to the title of their latest track, they’ve succeeded in turning us all into believers. Witness how the band’s sound has evolved in the past years for yourself, live at their first ever concert in Malaysia.

The Evolve World Tour will be held at the Malawati Indoor Stadium in Shah Alam on 6 January ’18. Purchase the tickets here.

6. The xx

English indie pop group The xx was formed in London. The trio, Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim, and Jamie Smith, became band members when they were still in high school. Captivating and cool, the group cites influences from r’n’b to classic alternative rock. Built around the duel vocals of Croft and Sim, the group’s signature brand of moody, soulful indie rock gained them thousands of avid listeners all around.

The band will be coming to Malaysia for their I See You Tour. The concert will be held on 25 January ’18 at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). Purchase your tickets here.

7. INCUBUS

Their last stop in Malaysia was way, wayyyy back in 2011, and now, they’re finally—FINALLY—coming back to rock our world once again. The multi-platinum selling alternative rock band is set to perform for a one-night only headlining show in Kuala Lumpur on 13 February ’18, 8pm at KL Live. You’re bound to take a trip down memory lane during the show, heck, we all remember the emo kid days when ‘Drive’ and ‘Wish You Were Here’ were our constant anthems.

Ticket prices for Incubus Live in Kuala Lumpur 2018 starts at RM238 (Early Bird) and RM268 (Normal). Tickets will go on sale on 1 December at 10am via www.ticketcharge.com.my

8. James Blunt

‘1973’, ‘You’re Beautiful’, ‘Goodbye My lover’, should we go on? You know—YOU KNOW—these songs. Known for his sappy love songs, the 43-year-old singer will be bringing us some love as he stops in Malaysia for The Afterlove Tour. An oldie but definitely a goldie, James will make you feel like you’re breaking up with a lover you never had with his raspy and haunting voice at his upcoming concert.

The singer-songwriter will be coming to Malaysia on 25 March ’18 at Genting Highland Resorts Arena, tickets and pricing TBA. Keep a look out on the official website for the latest updates.

9. Bruno Mars

‘That’s What I Like’ singer Bruno Mars will be in town soon for his 24K Magic World Tour 2018! It’s true that Bruno can make us swoon (Remember ‘Just the Way You Are’, ‘Marry You’, and ‘Count on Me’?), cry (Let’s not forget ‘Talking to the Moon’ and ‘When I Was Your Man’), and break out dancing (You know you’ve danced to ‘Uptown Funk’ and ’24K Magic’ in the club) with his ever-changing music style, and you’ll get to experience all these emotions in his concert coming your way next year in 2018.

The Grammy winner will be arriving in Malaysia for his tour on 9 May ’18, which takes place at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.
