artACT shows the creative industry from the perspectives of activists with the purpose of educating and raising awareness towards topics that people do talk about but might not have factual knowledge of them. The almost month-long campaign includes photo exhibitions about migrants and refugees in Malaysia, which is organised by Malaysian Social Research Institute; talks hosted by employees of Naga DDB and IPG Mediabrands to show the impact advertising has to society; and a workshop by the Centre for Independent Journalism — just to name among the few activities planned.
