Arctic Monkeys: ‘R U Mine?’

Girls will sigh and swoon, and guys will have even more incentive to dress up like James Dean after watching the new video for Arctic Monkeys’ single ‘R U Mine?’.

Now, any avid fan who has the album Suck It And See is going to be scratching their heads, wondering how they missed this song. Don’t start questioning your sanity just yet. The song isn’t on their 2011 album Suck It And See, nor does it appear to point towards hints of a new album.

It seems more likely that the band was fooling around in the studios, came up with the song and decided they wanted to shoot a video for it, all very spontaneously. Who are we to complain? ‘R U Mine’ is a great song to play air guitar and drums to, which is exactly what vocalist Alex Turner and drummer Matt Helder do, while bassist Nick O’ Malley pimps it up in the backseat of the car.

It’s one of those songs that will probably get stuck in your head for quite a while, and will turn up on Guitar Hero some day. Mark our words.
