BEDROOM & MONSOON+ PRES. DJ FEADZ (ED BANGER)
BEDROOM, 9.30PM, SATURDAY 19 NOVEMBER 2011

I THINK I WAS BORN TO BE A DJ, IT IS WHAT I LIKE TO DO THE MOST IN THIS WORLD. I WAS A DJ WAY BEFORE I WAS PRODUCING, I PLAY FROM INSPIRATION, ALWAYS DIFFERENT, SO I HOPE WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IS UPLIFTING AND UNEXPECTED” – DJ Feadz

If you’ve been living under a rock or were born after 2007 then you probably have never heard of highly acclaimed French label Ed Banger Records. The nu-rave era of 2007 may be over but as they say, the party never dies and the Ed Banger family has clearly grown past that fad.

The thing is, we’re approaching the end of 2011 and if you aren’t in the trance/top 40/handbag house/k-pop scene, chances are you’re having trouble finding a party to celebrate the coming possibly last New Year’s Eve mankind will ever have. Who bloody wants to listen to Pitbull and Taio Cruz in a club when you can hear it on the radio every hour but we digress.  In come the boys at Monsoon+ bringing DJ Feadz, described as “Ed Rec’s best DJ” by Busy P, the head honcho of Ed Banger Records. Discoverer and dater of French electro princess Uffie, DJ Feadz was responsible for her success, producing her first breakout hit ‘Pop the Glock’. Although not a household name like label mate Justice, DJ Feadz is proper legit with a career that spans 10 years from winning DJ Championships to his label stint at BPitchControl. To add to this madness, local boys Deer Society and H3 will be warming up the party. Sucks to be you if you sit this one out, the boys at Monsoon+ know how to throw a party and have proved so through has a whole lot of interesting acts like Chicks on Speed to Daedalus, so don’t let us be the ones to tell you “I told you so.”
