All The Young Dudes! : The Pioneer Digital Battle 2012 Looks to Set the Club and Your Earlobes on Fire

What’s the deal with the number 10 this year? Is it symbolic of the End of the World, you know, count to 10 then it’s up? Well, screw the Mayans!

JUICE is 10 years old this year and so is the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle in Malaysia. With its humble beginnings in Orlando, Florida – when a bunch of crazy audio-nuts and Pioneer Pro DJ Executives decided to kick the bass up – the competition has since made its way to KL and has helped to launch the careers of past champions like DJ Fuzz, Victor G, Goldfish, Blink and more.

DJ ET, who won the 2011 title, represented Malaysia in the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle Asia Championship 2012 in Bangkok last October against other countries contestants. Though he came short of a win, it’s the experience that matters and the beat must go on…

Hence, the top 5 finalists this year for the local leg will be dropping tracks at the Grand Final at Mist, Bangsar this 7 Dec. They’ll get 20 minutes to showcase their creativity on Pioneer equipment, song selections, mixing & scratching skills, techniques, showmanship, and to get the crowd hyped like hell.

With the prizes totalling more than RM35,000, some young dude (or dudette) is going to be a very happy person at the end of the night. Save the date (Friday 7 December 2012) and place (Mist Club, Bangsar) cause your favourite contestant needs your support to win. As part of the audience, you’re also in for mystery prizes, and early birds get free drinks and door gifts!

The Pioneer Digital DJ Battle is jointly organised by Pioneer and participating sponsors including TOPMAN (Official Apparel), ICE-WATCH (Official Timepiece), GATSBY (Official Body Care), 8TV (Official TV Station), JUICE (Official Magazine) and MIST Club (Official Venue) and Heineken. The Top 3 Winners will spin their way to win great prizes totalling RM35,000 and more!
