This Friday Night, It Ain’t Nothing But Techno at Privi

Techno heads have a lot to look for locally these days, from underground venues like Under9 to high-riser club Elysium, the genre is a lot more accessible and varied. Now, they can add Privi’s latest monthly night Ain’t Nothing But Techno (ANBT), as curated by Ed Dix, to their nightlife schedule. Privi – with its interior that’s seemingly ripe for a Boiler Room set – is an apt venue to host the entirety of the genre’s spectrum, as ANBT is aiming to unite fans of both old and modern styles of techno. Playing on its inaugural night is ANBT’s own Ed Dix, who’ll will be spinning a B2B set with anType – who runs disco/house/techno night Dictatorship over at Elysium. German DJ Cater and Edycted of Under9’s long-running series, Technologue, are also joining them, making a strong case of the event’s goal to unite “techno musical colour.”
