Advertorial: IUMW Student Iftar Dinner 2017 Was a Blast!
It was an evening of food, friendship and fun at the International University of Malaya-Wales Iftar celebration last 8 June 2017. Organised by the Student Council of IUMW, the event was held among the lovely sprawling gardens of the Cassa Detik Bungalows in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
The dinner event began with the arrival of guests at 5.30pm followed by the arrival of Datuk Prof. Dr. Roziah Bt. Omar, Vice Chancellor of IUMW and Mr. Steve Griffiths, Deputy Vice Chancellor of IUMW.
After a welcoming speech and the Ramadan Takzirah prayers, guests were treated to a scrumptious buffet spread for the breaking of fast. There were musical performances by IUMW’s very own talents which carried on throughout the night. Everyone was dressed to the nines in Malay traditional-wear as it was the month of Ramadan and even the setting had a recreation of an authentic Malay kampung house.
At IUMW, the focus is not just to be a solid foundation for an internationally versatile education. IUMW also strives to inculcate a sense of family, harmony and unity. IUMW wishes to stand as a testimony to the power of education in fostering a unanimous global nation.
As we move forward through this holy month of fasting into the wondrous celebration of Eid al-Fitr, IUMW would like to wish everyone a splendid Hari Raya! To find out more about IUMW, head to their website or Facebook Page.
