Aaron Kai x Official Capsule Collection
In just two years, the industrious Hawaiian artist and painter Aaron Kai has built an impressive portfolio of work that includes projects such as designing the album art for HBK Gang’s affiliate Kool John, partaking in the non-profit ‘Save Art’ campaign, and his first big break — painting the wall of The Hundreds’ warehouse. Aaron’s aesthetic can be identified by the vivid colour palette and his knack for illustrating his signature waves through the post pop lens.
The limited edition collection between Aaron and premium headwear brand Official Crown of Laurel draws its print design inspiration from the idyllic Hawaiian landscape and of course, the artist’s trademark waves. The capsule collection has 10 variations, consisting of an assortment of headwear styles — from beanies to bucket hats and even a visor! Though the collection does stay true to Aaron’s bold primary colours, but it does include some basic black and white pieces that can be worn on a daily basis.
