A Bank Officer Was Arrested For Showing Police The Middle Finger During A Roadblock
Instead of cooperating, a man did the opposite and showed a little anarchy by flipping the bird to policemen during an inspection at a roadblock at Persiaran Tropicana, Kota Damansara last night.
According to Petaling Jaya district police chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal, the police stopped an e-hailing vehicle for inspection at 11:30pm. The vehicle was driven by a local man with a 39-year-old man as a passenger.
“However, the man made an obscene gesture by showing his middle finger and uttered foul language at policemen on duty and refused to cooperate. He also acted aggressively and the police had to use minimum force to arrest him,” Nik Ezanee said in a statement.
Nik Ezanee said the man was remanded for three days and the case was being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for obstructing civil servants from discharging their duties.
No reason was given as to why the passenger acted the way he did.
