Despite the whirlwind of news stating Zouk Singapore’s potential closure and yearly announcement that the year’s ZoukOut will be the last, here we are; the club has its lease extended and the 2014 instalment of the sunrise music festival is going down this month. To celebrate its 14 years long run, of which David Guetta had pointed out as being “the best party on the planet,” this year’s theme is aptly titled ‘First Light’. Fest-goers can expect the usual excellent lineup of over 20 international and regional DJs from across the scale of EDM – from trance, electro, techno, to house. Day 1 kicks off with heavyweights Above & Beyond, Nicky Romero, Dannic, Steve Aoki, and Magda while Day 2 sees Damian Lazarus, Martin Garrix, Steve Angello, and more. With this sensational lineup, partying through the break of day is no impossible feat.
