Been a while since Order Records released Adam Kasturi’s Mitos — the last record to have come out of the Gema-founded indie label. Lest you forget that these guys are doing some of the most exciting electronic music next to Syndicate in this region, the label has recently put out the perfect introduction to their roster; Order Vol. 1. Featuring Night Dives, Adam Kasturi, Gema (collaborating with Syndicate’s Darren Dubwise), SWTLKR, and DV, the compilation furthers the argument that Malaysia (ignoring Adam’s inclusion in this collection) is severely lacking behind while our Singaporean counterparts are actively nurturing talents from the electronic scene. Sounds include the near Manami Matsumae VGM-esque beat of ‘Private Number’, Fade to Mind x Mad Decent vibes of ‘Parascape’, and the post-dubstep we’ve come to expect from Gema.
