There’s been a recent spate of producers popping up all over the place out of seemingly nowhere – no names, no priors, nothing, and absolutely killing it in our silent discos with top notch material that you wouldn’t have expected to be available in such abundance. We think it’s probably something to do with the animal names, though. First there was Cashmere Cat and Trippy Turtle, then Drippy Dolphin and the like — but this time it’s Dolphin Tears, out of the mystical underwater city of Atlantis with a technically astute tune on wanting to impregnate uhh.. you, pulled from the R. Kelly track of the same name. Ridiculous sampling and beatwork all the way throughout – it sounds like it’s almost too busy, but never is.
