We’ve noticed a growing number of producers attributing their popularity to Soundcloud, a platform that has allowed dope beats and sick remixes to be released from the comfort of one’s own bedroom. But few are able to produce music that is able to grab the ear without sounding too much like a cheap imitation of the other acts whom had found popularity through the website. So when we encountered Philippines’ King Puentespina aka CRWN, truly it felt like discovering a hidden gem.

CRWN’s latest release sees the Manila producer and drummer of alt rock band She’s Only Sixteen employing his skills in assembling a fresh track that launches listeners into a blissful state of ease upon first listen. The track sets off chilled out vibes with its poppy vocal chops, juicy dynamic beats, and lushly layered synths. Listeners may catch hints of Cashmere Cat, Trippy Turtle, and Ryan Hemsworth — altogether warm, cheerful and dreamy.
