It seems like only yesterday when Black Eyed Peas came down and gave a smashing performance “To Arthur!”. That’s right, Arthur’s Day is back once again and Guinness is going to celebrate once more in KL! This highly anticipated event will kick off across the globe on 24 September to celebrate Arthur Guinness!

Cities like Ireland, Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and the Carribean will be celebrating with a massive festival that honours the history of Arthur Guinness and the incredible Guinness beer that loved world over. Last year, our very own Arthur’s Day celebration that had 15000 people from all corners of the globe coming down to Sunway Surf pool to dance to Black Eyed Peas. And did you know Malaysia was one of the 5 venues worldwide to host this event?

So what can we expect this year? You can definitely expect an electrifying performance again! Come 24 September we will be celebrating a massive tribute to Arthur Guinness and his heritage and it will follow the beginning of the worldwide festivities, which will commence in Ireland at 17:59 (GMT) on 23 September, with internationally renowned acts such as Snow Patrol and Paolo Nutini entertaining their fans with a live set at the Guinness Brewery, St James Gate. Other exciting music performances will take place simultaneously at pubs and venues throughout Dublin, Cork and Galway. So far, Guinness has confirmed a total of 11 star-studded acts, which also include José Gonzalez, The View and The High Kings. More impressive acts will be announced at a later date so keep yourself tuned in!

After the festivities commence across Ireland, the global celebration will continue at various locations throughout the Caribbean, Africa, North America, Asia and throughout Europe.

The official lineup for our very own Guinness Arthur’s Day celebration has been revealed! Legendary hiphop producer/singer/musician/rapper Timbaland is set to headline the event together with Thai-American group Thaitanium, local rap/rock band Pop Shuvit, turntablist/producer DJ Fuzz and our star rnb singer, Mizz Nina! Wow it sure is going to be one fun celebration indeed!

Everyone is no stranger to Timbaland’s music. He’s worked with the likes of Aaliyah, Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, Katy Perry that has garnered him chart topping success, especially with a whole lot of new artists with his latest album Timbaland Presents Shock Value 2″ that includes that massively catchy track ‘If We Ever Meet Again’ featuring Katy Perry. If you haven’t seen Thai act Thaitanium perform, well here’s your chance! One of the biggest groups to have come from Thailand, they have opened for 50 Cent at the MTV Asia Awards and has just released their newest album Still Resisting this year. We at JUICE are also super excited to have our local acts Pop Shuvit, DJ Fuzz and Mizz Nina share the stage with these awesome international artists. Come on peeps, let’s show our support to these amazing local artists and make your way to Guinness’ Arthur’s Day celebration! See you there!
