Boogie wonderland….
In the larger framework of KL club culture it was a mere blink of the eye, but for those who were there, Crowne Plaza circa 2005 would have conjured up memories of late night underground house and techno sets with some of KL’s most respected local DJs. That was Sugar and it was only one of the club’s many incarnations. None has been as successful as its original but DJ Baby Joe Black aka Pream Anand is aiming to change all that. His takeover goes down 17 February 2011 and will see the chic downtown club go Top 40 on weekends and thematic on weekdays.

Clientele Expect a slightly more mature crowd and Crowne Plaza hotel guests.

Music policy It’s a Top 40 nightclub on weekends with thematic nights through out the week. Alumni of DJ Fuzz’s Mixology Academy, chief ressie DJ Baby Joe Black takes over with retro hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s, present day top 40 hits and the occasional house crossover.

Drinks The usual liquors, whiskeys and wine and signature cocktails and martinis. VIP area sofa seating available (for 8-10 persons) with a minimum purchase of 3 bottles and above.

Dress code Enforced on weekends, but not on week nights, it’s strictly no plain tees, beanies, do-rags, headbands, bandannas, hoodies, cut off tees and sleeveless shirts. In short, it’s a hotel so don’t dress like you’re a thug who’s come to case the joint. Dress nice!

Door policy RM35 inc. 1 drink, but for now no cover charge until further notice.

Open Mon-Sat: 10pm-3am.

Parking After 7pm Crowne Plaza parking has a flat rate of RM10. The jockey parking will set you back RM30.
