Ana Rs Is Bringing Her Hypnotic Techno To Pisco This Saturday

If your idea of a good Saturday night involves losing track of time somewhere between a hypnotic bassline and a relentless four-to-the-floor rhythm, Ana Rs might have exactly what you’re looking for.

The Berlin-based DJ and producer has spent the past few years carving out a space for herself in the more experimental corners of techno, building a sound that feels heavy, tense, and hypnotic without ever sitting still for too long. This Saturday, she brings that sound to Pisco Bar, KL, giving the city a chance to experience one of the more intriguing names currently moving through the international techno circuit.

Ana Rs’ rise picked up serious momentum with her 2023 EP Take Me There, released through Ben Sims’ respected Symbolism imprint. It was a release that announced her arrival on the wider techno stage, while also offering a glimpse into the kind of sound she was developing: stripped-back but detailed, driving but patient, with tension that gradually builds rather than simply smashing you over the head.

She went deeper in 2024 with In the Warmth of the Red Lights, released on SEMANTICA, the influential label founded by Svreca. The record reflected her growing interest in hypnotic and experimental territory, where repetition becomes a tool for exploration rather than simply a means of keeping the dancefloor moving.

Her catalogue now stretches across labels including Float Records, 47, Vault Sessions, Illegal Alien Records, and Observant, while her touring schedule has taken her across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. She has appeared at venues including RSO Berlin, Tresor Berlin, Vent Tokyo, Dommune, Public Records in New York, and Drugstore in Belgrade, among others.

But there’s more to Ana Rs’ work than what happens behind the decks.

She is also the creative force behind Interakt, an events platform built around challenging conventions and creating more forward-thinking experiences within electronic music. It’s another extension of the same approach that runs through her music: curiosity, experimentation, and a willingness to push beyond familiar territory.

For Ana Rs, progression has always been the constant. What began with the playful experimentation of DJing and production has evolved into a practice that sits somewhere between hypnotic techno, experimental sound design, and dancefloor functionality.
