Japanese designer, Ryota Iwai, and his brand AURALEE have once again teamed up with New Balance for a sneaker worthy of sweater weather fits. This time around, the brand has gone with the New Balance T500 as its model of choice for Fall/Winter 2025.

Warm, earthy tones for FW25

The T500 is one of New Balance’s most retro-styled sneakers, featuring a perforated toe box for ventilation, a lightly padded tongue, flat laces, and a relatively slim silhouette bordering on casual/skate sneaker—kind of like the Reebok Club C 85.

AURALEE’s rendition of the T500 takes things up a notch, giving it a slight dose of luxury with a puffed-up ‘N’ on the sides. This is perhaps one of the easiest ways to differentiate it from a normal T500. It’s almost as if the ‘N’ logo has cushions in it.

The FW25 collection sees the brands produce two different colourways of the T500: One in a clean, creamy beige, and the other in a more rustic brown with what looks like a gum sole (see below).

The two colourways are perfect for people who prefer neutral tones, or shoes that easily pair with a wide variety of outfits (especially the beige pair).

But we feel you can’t go wrong either way:

According to Hypebeast, the shoes will come with co-branded AURALEE and New Balance insoles, and you can also expect custom shoe boxes.

At the time of writing, no release date has been announced yet.
