Fall Out Boy Are Going Down, Down to Singapore this Dec… Here’s Everything You Need To Know
Lots of top tier artistes are throwing concerts with our southern neighbour these days. Is this more than we Malaysians bargained for? With upcoming shows by big acts such as Weezer, Sam Smith, Charlie Puth, Taylor Swift, Måneskin, Suede, Manic Street Preachers, Morrissey and just about every K-popper worth their kimchi, yes! And are we still going to go despite our shitty exchange rate? YES!
The latest addition to Singapore’s lengthy concert list is none other than iconic pop punk band Fall Out Boy. Set to rock Singapore on December 12th, Tuesday, 8pm at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre, Halls 401-403, Level 4, fans here are already warming up their broadband connections to snag tickets which go on sale on September 29th (Friday) at 10am via sistic.com.sg and Sistic outlets.
There’s a high chance that tickets will sell out fast as every emo kid in town would be dying to get theirs, so it’s advisable to start the day early this Friday.
Known for their infectious blend of pop punk and alt rock, Fall Out Boy gained a dedicated fanbase worldwide with hits like ‘Sugar, We’re Goin Down’, ‘Dance, Dance’, and ‘Thnks fr th Mmrs’.
Noted for their energetic live performances, with each member’s explosive stage presence complimenting the other, the band quickly found commercial success after forming in Chicago in 2001 and have since appeared on Saturday Night Live, America’s Got Talent, The Voice, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show with Conan, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live and more.
One of rock music’s biggest-selling bands, they released their debut album Take This to Your Grave in 2003, and made their mainstream breakthrough in 2005 with their sophomore record From Under the Cork Tree. Two years later, they topped the Billboard 200 with Infinity on High.
After a succession of chart-topping albums in the 2010s, Fall Out Boy returned in March 2023 with their eighth studio album So Much (For) Stardust. The album marks the band’s comeback in more than five years, and its lead single ‘Love from The Other Side’ is already a global hit, hitting No.1 on Alternative Radio.
